Helping New Teachers Survive and Thrive

New educators - those who've come from the university system as well as lateral entry teachers - face a variety of challenges during their first few years. QTL's New Teacher Institute is designed to give them the tools they need to succeed from the very beginning, and to survive and thrive in the classroom for many years.

How do you put theory into practice? How do you control your classroom and engage your students? How do you make the most of the limited time you have to teach the content? How do you make it through the first few years of teaching?

New Teacher Institute is practical staff development that helps new teachers answer these questions, and helps districts keep them in the classroom. This six-day program can be delivered by QTL instructional specialists, or can be implemented by a district's own personnel through a district partnership plan.

Read what New Teacher Institute participants have had to say about the program or hear why a participant and administrator say the programs helps keep new teachers in the classroom.
