NEW! Arkansas Drone Con Competitions
Drone Race Team
Two-person event in which competitors will fly a Tello drone through an obstacle course and will be timed. Competitors will compete against all other teams throughout all sessions. Each session will have an announced winner and then an overall winner will be awarded. Each school may only enter two teams in this competition.
UAS Foundations
Individual event for UAS I or Flex students. Competitors will have 25 minutes to take a 35 question online objective test. Each school may only enter two individuals in this competition.
Drone Photography
Individual or team event (2-4 members) in which competitors submit a picture that was captured by the drone. All submissions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. See the rubric for specific details. Each school may enter as many submissions as they like. |
Drone Build Presentation
Individual or team event (2-4 members) in which competitors will have 5 minutes to present a drone that they have built either at school or on their own. Competitors will present to a panel of judges to explain how they built the drone and what materials they used. See the rubric for specific details. Each school may only enter one team in this competition.
UAS Principles
Individual event for UAS II or UAS III students. Competitors will have 25 minutes to take a 35 question online objective test. Each school may only enter two individuals in this competition.
Drone Videography
Individual or team event (2-4 members) in which competitors submit a 3-4 minute video that was partially captured by the drone. All submissions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. See the rubric for specific details. Each school may enter as many submissions as they would like. |
